Kid's Island Nursery Has Closed
After 36 wonderful years, Kid's Island Nursery officially closed its doors in July 2026.
Following our landlord's decision to redevelop the property, we were sadly unable to find a suitable new home for the nursery. While this was not the ending we had hoped for, we are incredibly grateful for every family, child and educator who has been part of our journey.
For more than three decades, it has been our privilege to watch thousands of children play, grow, laugh, explore and begin their lifelong love of learning. Thank you for trusting us with such an important part of your family's story. The memories we've shared will stay with us forever.
Although the nursery has now closed, our passion for play, childhood and meaningful education continues.
This website will soon become the home of
Play & Beyond the next chapter in our journey.

What was it all about?
Based in Jumeirah, Dubai, Kid’s Island Nursery offered a progressive, play-based British Curriculum that allowed children to start their journey in education in a developmentally appropriate way. In turn, this created a life-long love of learning in children and set them up for a bright, successful future!
Our highly qualified teachers practiced our own pedagogy, ‘The Inspire Philosophy’, which draws inspiration from Forest Schooling, Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Waldorfkindergarten approaches; enabling children to learn through their natural curiosity and inspire exploration and discovery.
Settled in the heart of Jumeirah, we had carefully curated our indoor and outdoor classrooms to feel warm and inviting. This gave those who entered our nursery walls the very same feeling of safety you get from walking into your own living room at home. Our nature-rich environments catered to children who are crawlers to 4 years old (Foundation Stage 1), providing them with learning opportunities that encourage a sense of wonder.

Isabelle Amatoury, the nursery Founder, has worked over the years to instill a love of learning in the hearts of children. Alongside her daughter, Agathe Jameson, this mother-daughter duo is leading the charge to advocate for children and practitioners in the Early Years space.
