We feel children must be provided with ample opportunities to learn about the natural world and they need to be taught how to properly interact with and take care of their environment.
They should be aspiring to see the magic of Mother Nature unfold before their eyes; from cultivating home-grown vegetables to watching baby birds take their first flight from the nest.
Teaching children from a young age to respect and admire their environment is essential to creating a new generation who is mindful of their impact on our precious Earth.
We aim to instil a sense of eco-responsibility in our children!
♻ Protecting our Environment:
The children visit inspiring environments throughout the Nursery daily, each area having been designed to engage their senses and encourage exploration.
Children are encouraged to ask questions and investigate their surroundings in order to gain a greater understanding of the world.
This exploration provides naturally occurring opportunities for teachers to educate the children about the wonders of their environment.
By creating a sense of eco-responsibility, we are raising mindful and conscious children to be the nature detectives and eco-defenders of the future!
The health and well-being of our nursery family is of the utmost importance. As an eco-nursery, we ensure that cleaning is completed regularly throughout the day and to the highest standard that produces as little impact on the earth as possible.
All products used are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and leave no residue. Air purifiers and microfiber A/C filters, located throughout the nursery, help to combat the spread of germs and enhance the air quality.
Looking after the health of our nursery family is just as important as looking after our planet! We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint through water saving devices, re-useable lunch bags and decreasing paper consumption through the use of technology.

As an conscious nursery, we aim to create an environment that is mindful of our impact on children, families, staff and visitors by:
Minimising our carbon footprint by reducing, reusing, recycling and up-cycling.
Using eco-friendly cleaning products.
Reducing consumption of water and electricity by switching off all lights, computers, electrical appliances and air conditioning units when not in use.
Keeping our nursery families informed and educated on the topic of eco-concious living to spread awareness.
Conservation Award
Kids Island Nursery was awarded 2nd place!
The Conservation Award is awarded by DEWA, the Dubai Government and the Knowledge & Human Development Authority. It is awarded based on eco-friendly parameters.
